A small wind-and-water town on the Sea of Cortez in Baja Sur, ~35 min southeast of La Paz. Winter thermal winds make it a world kite/wing hub; the sea delivers fishing, spearfishing, diving and whale life the rest of the year.
When to go: Wind sports Nov–Mar (peak Jan–Feb). Fishing & spearfishing May–Nov. Diving/snorkeling year-round. Gray & whale-shark season in winter. Summer East Cape surf.
